Reporting an error

Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a figure on this site disagrees with your copy of a standard, the standard is right. To let us find and fix it quickly, please include:

• the address of the page, or the size, schedule or class concerned;
• the figure shown here and the figure you believe is correct;
• the standard, its edition year, and the table or paragraph number you are reading from.

Please do not send scans or photographs of pages from a standard. They are copyright documents, and the table number is all we need to look the figure up. Confirmed errors are corrected in the data file, which corrects every page that quotes the figure, and significant ones are recorded on the About page.

Asking for something to be added

Requests for a size range, a standard or a guide that is not here are welcome, and they decide what gets built next. Tell us what you were trying to look up and what you expected to find.

What we cannot do

PipeData is a reference, not an engineering service. We cannot check a design, confirm that a component suits your service, or say what your code or contract requires. Those answers have to come from the governing standard and from the engineer responsible for the work. We also do not sell pipe, flanges or fittings and cannot quote for them.

Replies

We aim to answer within a few working days. There is no contact form on this site because a form would mean collecting and storing what you type; email leaves the message with you and with us and nowhere else. Your address is used to reply to you and for nothing else. See the privacy page.

Advertising and privacy questions

Questions about the advertising shown on the site, about cookies or about personal data go to the same address. Ads are placed by Google AdSense, and the privacy page explains how to control them.
